Size of Baby: Mango   6.0 inches & 8.5 ounces (baby is putting on weight & so is Mama)
Gender:  Not finding out J
Weight gain: will find out Tuesday, but I definitely think I am up to probably 12 or more. These last 4 weeks have been a doozy!

Stretch marks: none!  My friend Lauren, who has beautiful twins, suggested baby oil in the bath … I love the way it makes my skin feel! Definitely good for these dry winter months.
Belly button in or out: in
Sleep: hasn’t been great this week. My stomach has been really aching in the night and I can’t seem to ever get comfortable. Purchased a pregnancy pillow so hopefully that will help me.
Best moment this week:  We got our new couch delivered… can’t wait to transform the main level of our house… Bye Bye boring tan colored walls!
Worst moment this week:  Still emotional and overly sensitive… my poor husband!
Miss anything:  sleeping through the night!
Movement:  feeling lots of flutters …can’t wait for the 1st real kick
Cravings: still anything sweet! Candy, kid cereal, chocolate milk, fruit…. Can’t get enough!
Symptoms: random pains in my stomach, not sure if its stretching or what.
Queasy or sick: nothing this week! Counting my blessings each day and twice on Sundays J
Happy or Moody: moody this week!
Looking forward to: Tuesdays Doctor appointment. Can’t wait to see our baby on the ultrasound!

Cheers to 2014 !

Oh how I wish I would have been sipping on some champagne to ring in 2014, but the sparkling pear juice wasn't a terrible substitute. It's crazy to think it's already 2014, seems like the older you get, the fast the years go by. I can't believe in 5 months baby S will be making his or her debut. Time is flying by and I feel like I have so much to do!

I have a lot of dreams and hopes for this upcoming year. Becoming a mom truly changes your whole perspective on life. It's no longer about you, it's about this precious little life you are bringing into this world. A world that can be filled with lots of fear, negativity and hatred. I am going to do my best to not only be a more positive person myself, we all know I am not very good at this! But to create a more positive environment for our family & upcoming arrival. Here are some of my others from my 2014 list
  • Be more present! While it's just the Hubby and I right now, I feel like we both struggle with being present. Technology is definitely the main culprit of this terrible habit. We can go over a solid hour without speaking to each other because we are both so overly engaged in our IPhones or IPads. I want to start enjoying more of each day!
  • Embrace the good & bad of each day- As you know, I am not very good as seeing the good in all things, I tend to focus on the bad. I know babies are a lot of work and parenthood is the most trying job out there. I want to embrace more of each day as it is, instead of dwelling on what it should have been or all the things that didn't go as planned.
  • Faith- This is something I struggle with on a daily basis and could really be a post all in itself. This year I want to make more time for God and praying and less time for the other things I fill my day up with that don't really matter. I want to embrace God and feel less convicted of what my "past" faith used to represent. I want to have a home where our child knows about God, is comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings with others, and knows the true meaning of life and relationships.
  • Health- Spend more time making good choices of what is good for my body and what is not. I want to be able to not only see my children grow up and become parents themselves, but to show them what a healthy lifestyle is. That doesn't mean obsessing over what you eat for every meal or how many minutes you spent at the gym. It's more about the balance and creating a lifestyle, not so much a "weekly" change.
I am already a little scared of the things on my 2014 list, but I do think with a little bit of effort every day, they will be possible to conquer!! Hope everyone sets at least one goal for themselves for the upcoming year! It's not so much about the resolutions, it's more about the comittment to being a better person :)

Christmas 2013 Recap

Christmas this year was extremely busy for us! I had to work Christmas Eve, so that made it even more hectic. We had brunch with my Hubby's immediate family, then supper with his mom's family, then we headed to my parents house after that. We didn't start opening presents till 10pm on Christmas Eve. This mama was exhausted! Christmas Day we were with my mom's side for lunch and just stopped over to see my dad's parents to say hi. We don't celebrate holidays as much on his side anymore because my grandparents are both 93 and it's just too much at once for them to handle. It was nice to spend some quality time them, just us :) I don't know how many more chances I will get, so I am soaking each and every one of them up! Then we were finally off on our way back home! That's alot to cram into a couple of days. Thank goodness I had the rest of the week off because I need some relaxtion!

Here are some pics of our Christmas 2013, boy how different things will be next year :)

Christmas Eve w/ Grandpa Ted

Christmas Eve

Rob's Aunt had these made for us -- soo cute :)

Baby S got lots of fun presents - spoiled already!

My mom sent home a ton of boxes of stuff from my junior high/high school days. This is a medal case she made to display all my important metals! So thankful to have these memories and to be able to pass them down to our children!
